In its hometown of Coburg, Kaeser Kompressoren is growing visibly. Back in September, when the topping out ceremony was held for Hall 12, the foundations were only just being laid for today’s Hall 14. Last week, the rite was performed for this hall as well. “We have only achieved this so quickly thanks to optimal communication and professional collaboration between the employees at our suppliers and at Kaeser,” said Tina-Maria Vlantoussi-Kaeser, Member of the Managing Board, whilst Thomas Kaeser, Chairman, thanked all of the authorities, companies and employees involved for their “extraordinary achievement”. The topping out ceremony, he declared, represents both a milestone and a reason for celebration. “At Kaeser, there are many more projects which we hope proceed as successfully as this one”. The Chairman also provided a glimpse of the future, announcing that Kaeser wished to grow still further and thereby create new employment opportunities – for the good of the company, the employees and the town of Coburg. Dominik Sauerteig, Mayor of Coburg, expressed his gratitude on behalf of the town. The investment represents a clear commitment to the area, he emphasised in his welcoming address, something which the town is extremely glad of.

The construction of Hall 14, located behind the main company premises in the direction of Glend, was necessary because one of the ageing production halls on the main site was to be renovated and the production departments located there needed to find a new home. Furthermore, the solid growth experienced by the company over recent years meant that other departments also required more space, explained Tina-Maria Vlantoussi-Kaeser with regard to the reasons behind the expansion. The next project would be to expand the logistics area.
